Caught watching a pornographic film inside the assembly, three Karnataka ministers resigned on Wednesday. According to party sources, the ministers were not willing to resign, but their hand was forced.
On Tuesday, TV crews had filmed cooperation minister Lakshmana V Savadi
watching the clip on a cellphone and women and child development minister CC Patil peeping in during a discussion. The clip was allegedly supplied by ports minister Krishna J Palemar.
Speaker KG Bopaiah ordered a probe into the matter and sought a report by March 12. The present row has brought down the strength of the BJP government to 24. The number of tainted ministers who lost their post has touched 11. The charges include rape, illegal mining and corruption.
