Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that farmers should be given the right to sell their produce in the country and abroad where they find fair prices for their agriculture produce.

"Imposing a ban on export of farm produce was not proper," the chief minister said while addressing the inaugural function of three-day International Horti Expo-2013 in Bhopal on Friday.

Chouhan said that nothing can be better for livelihood than agriculture and exhorted farmers to change the agriculture scenario to create new history.

He said that side by side with traditional farming, farmers should also start cultivating horticulture crops, fruits and flowers.

As many as 85 companies are participating in the three-day event. Live demonstrations are being held at the expo of latest horticulture techniques.
