Bhopal: 3 BJP workers injured in a clash following Rajnath Singh visit

Three BJP workers sustained injuries, one of them seriously wounded, after two groups of BJP workers clashed when BJP national president Rajnath Singh visited to Khajuraho on Saturday afternoon.



The two groups - one led by Guddu Singh, a former BJYM worker and another led Avanindra Pateria, district BJP Kisan Morcha president Chhatarpur started fighting on the issue of entering Khajuraho airstrip premises to receive to the BJP national president.

As per the party sources, when the clash took place Rajnath Singh had already flown but there were a number of BJP leaders were present when the clash took place.   

Pateria was injured along with two others from his group. They have been hospitalized and Pateria’s condition is in a critical condition.

According to reports, there were rounds of firing during the clash. However, it has not been officially confirmed.

Sub divisional officer police Kailash Nahta confirmed the incident. He said according to the information three BJP workers had sustained injuries.

He said it could be known only after an inquiry if there were incidents of firing during the clash and who was responsible behind the same.
