Having kept himself away for long from the social networking sites there seems to be no holds barred for chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan once he has joined the microblogging site Twitter.

Chouhan chooses to take up a wide range of subjects to speak his mind on which one can see on the Twitter daily since he joined the site on March 8, International Women’s Day.

On Friday, Chouhan touched three personalities right from Bollywood actor and celebrity Sanjay Dutt to renowned actor late Utpal Dutt to international figure Nelson Mandela.

Going on the party line, Chouhan opposed the demand of clemency for Sanjay Dutt whose sentence of five years in Mumbai blast case was upheld by the Supreme Court. Without naming Dutt, Chouhan said, “Debate on pardon to celebrities. Nobody is talking about thousands of jail inmates who are languishing due to lack of legal help and poverty.”

Chouhan went on to add, “Initiating a campaign for providing due legal help to jail inmates in MP. Within legal norms nobody shall be allowed to languish in jail.”

Chouhan then moved on to wish Nelson Mandela a speedy recovery and many more years of healthy life. Mandela is admitted to a hospital these days with lung infection.

The CM then recalled the renowned actor late Utpal Dutt on his birth anniversary. He tweeted, “Today is a birthday of legendary actor Utpal Dutt. When I think of his act in a timeless comedy Golmaal, it brings a smile on my face.” Chouhan perhaps inadvertently mentioned Utpal Dutt’s birthday which should have been Dutt’s birth anniversary as Dutt is no more.

Chouhan didn’t forget to tell people about Rs. 2066 crore action plan of National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) for 2013-14 sent to the Centre for approval, amendment in MP Minor Minerals Rules 1996 and April 6 (BJP’s foundation day) to be celebrated as Vikas Diwas.
