Roadside romeos in the Madhya Pradesh capital are getting a dose of public humiliation under the police department's "Operation Majnu" drive launched two days ago.

Despite the widespread outrage over the Delhi gangrape, Bhopal Police have still managed to find 42 louts passing lewd comments on women. Incidentally, some women police officials executing the drive in civil clothes were at the receiving end of quite a few wolf whistles.

The punishment has been swift: perform uthak-baithak - a school-level form of punishment in which one holds the ears and performs squats - in public. Later, the romeos, most of them youngsters, were taken to police stations and let off after their parents were informed about their activities.

5 players suspended
Five junior players of the Madhya Pradesh Equestrian Academy have been suspended for allegedly passing indecent remarks on two girls of the fencing academy on Saturday night.
