Suspect in Dolly murder case held

The police have rounded up a man in connection with the murder of Dolly Singh Thakur, 39, whose body was found on the roadside near Kurawar in Rajghar recently.

The person is a close acquaintance of the deceased. Police were considering him as prime suspect, said sources. He lived in her neighbourhood unitl a few years back.

A team of police from Kurawar that had come to Bhopal, rounded up the man. Police officials were tight-lipped over the detention. However, sources said that evidences and telephonic conversation records had led the police towards the suspect.

Dolly Thakur, who owned a boutique in Arera Colony, had gone missing early this month. After her family members lodged a case of missing person, the police had begun a hunt. The body was found in Narsinhgarh (Rajgarh). Post-mortem report suggested that she was strangulated and later shot.

 FAKE CURRENCY SEIZED

The police seized counterfeit currency from a person in Rewa on Sunday. The accused Amitesh Bharti, 22, a resident of Maharana Pratap Colony, Sidhi, was arrested on the basis of a tipoff. Notes of various demoninations viz. Rs. 100, Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000 were recovered from him. Bharti used to print these notes, using computer and scanner.
