At leat four people, including two minor girls, were killed on Sunday when a two-storeyed old building collapsed in Odisha's Puri district.
About 10 persons were sleeping in the century old dilapidated building, about 65 km east of Bhubaneswar, when it collapsed in the early morning, police said.
Police promptly reached the site and launched a rescue operation with help from local residents.
“The dead included two women and two minor girls,” inspector in charge JN Jena said, adding the injured persons were admitted in a local hospital.
The injured were taken to a hospital and the doctors said their condition was now stable.
