According to media reports, two policemen were injured in an encounter between police and Maoists in Bhojpur district of Bihar. The encounter bagan late last night.
Satyendra Singh, SHO of Nawada police station and Bhudeo Das SHO of Garhani police station were shot at when they were on
way to Cherpokhari police station on a motorcycle late last night to arrest some criminals, deputy superintendent of police Rajesh Tripathi said today.
Patrolling was intensified as tension ran high in the area since the incident. Raids are on to apprehend the attackers, Tripathi added.
