The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday announced its decision to field Dharmendra Singh Koli in place of his sister Santosh as the party’s candidate from the Seemapuri assembly seat in East Delhi.

Santosh had recently died following a accident.

Dharmendra, 28, had been accompanying his sister all through her days of activism since 2005 when party leaders Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia launched their ‘Parivartan’ campaign.

The AAP also announced the seventh list of shortlisted probable candidates for Rohini in north Delhi and Deoli in south Delhi. For Deoli (reserved) seat, a fruit seller and an assistant manager at an MNC are among ticket probables. For Rohini, a former vice-president of Delhi Shiv Sena and a lawyer whose wife contested municipal polls on a Congress ticket are among those shortlisted.
