BJP on Sunday said its success in Gujarat Assembly elections is a victory for "nationalist forces" and a jolt to "pseudo secularist forces".
Party president M Venkaiah Naidu, commenting on the party's poll performance in Gujarat, said "BJP's victory is the victory of nationalist forces and a defeat for
pseudo secularist elements".
Referring to BJP's electoral show in by-elections in Congress-ruled Rajasthan, he said "it heralds a new trend in the country".
He said though Congress tried its best to capture power in Gujarat by citing examples of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh ruled by it, the voters in the state were not convinced by its campaign.
