BPO executive held for raping minor

A 28-year-old BPO executive was arrested for raping a 13-year-old girl in Rajiv Nagar. According to the police, the accused was produced before the duty magistrate on Sunday who sent him to 14-day judicial custody.


Satpal Singh, the culprit, had entered into a relationship with the victim, a class 7 student. On Saturday, when she was on her way to school, he met her and took her to a hotel in Sector 14 and raped her.

When the victim did not reach home after school hours, her worried parents approached the police, who put her mobile phone on surveillance. The accused was arrested from Atlas Chowk and the girl handed over to her parents.

In another case, a 16-year-old student of a government school in Badshahpur was raped by a minor on Monday. The accused
has been detained, police said.

The accused used to stalk the Class 11 student. On Monday around 4am, he sent her a threatening SMS, asking her to meet him or he would defame her. When she came to talk to him, he dragged her to a construction site and raped her.

Hearing her scream, her relatives caught the accused and handed him over to the police.

FIR against Unitech’s top officials for ‘cheating’ buyers

An FIR was registered against nine officials of realty major Unitech Realty Pvt Ltd, including its directors Ramesh Chandra, Sanjay Chandra and Ajay Chandra, on Thursday evening for allegedly cheating investors. A Gurgaon court had passed an ex- parte order to this effect.
