On the day Hardeep Singh was killed in Chhatarpur, he and his family had planned to check into a five-star hotel in Gurgaon for three months.
Singh had booked a suite in the hotel located just off the Gurgaon Expressway and was expected to check in at about 6.00pm on the fateful day.
According to the sources, Singh family had opted to stay in the hotel probably because the renovation work on one of his farmhouses in DLF Farms, where he was living, was to be carried. The Delhi Police are investigating the reason behind Hardeep’s decision to stay in Gurgaon for such a long time.
Sources said Singh had confirmed the booking by paying Rs. 5 lakh in advance and the suite tariff was finalised at Rs. 90,000 a day as against the rack rate of Rs. 1.20 lakh. The hotel authorities later returned the advance money to the Hardeep’s relatives after the shootout on Saturday.
Hardeep and his family was a regular visitor to the hotel and the family had also organised a function there last year.
