The main bus stand will also be under CCTV surveillance as 10 pan tilt zoom (PTZ) cameras will be installed on the premises.

On Monday, the general manager of Haryana Roadways received the approval from the department to purchase 200 CCTV cameras.

The installation is likely to be completed in a week.

“We’ve ordered 180 normal CCTV cameras and 10 high-end ones. Now, buses as well as the bus stand would be under constant CCTV surveillance,” said Yashendra Singh, general manager, Haryana Roadways (Gurgaon).

Work on setting up two control rooms also kicked off on Monday afternoon.

While one room will be constructed at the bus stand, the other will be at the GM’s office.
