The candidates with the offer letter approached the company and were shocked to know that there was no openings, the police said.

The case was registered at the Sadar police station on Tuesday evening.

“We have traced the IP address of the fraudsters. The locations have been found in Meerut and Bulandshahr of Uttar Pradesh. Soon the culprits would be arrested,” said Suresh Kumar, in-charge of cyber crime cell.

Only a few of the victims have been traced by the police. Many have still not complained and refused to get into the matter.
