With Valentine’s Day around the corner, luxury car rental companies in the NCR can feel the love in the air. Compared to an average day of business, rental firms have seen a five-fold increase in bookings in the Capital and surrounding regions.
“The demand has increased by almost 25% this year. Not everyone can buy a Benz or an Audi. But they can experience the luxury through us,” said Sakshi Vij, vice president of corporate marketing at Carzonrent, a Delhi-based car rental firm. With a fleet of 400 luxury vehicles, Carzonrent has received 300 reservations from the Delhi-NCR region.
Similarly, Aviz India has received 20 bookings in the past three days.
“We just started our Valentine’s Day special discount of 25%. It has been received well,” said Sunil Gupta, CEO of Aviz India, the only global firm that has about 40 luxury cars in the Delhi-NCR segment.
Among bookings in the past five days, nearly 40% have come from Gurgaon.
“Gurgaon residents like to experiment and are brand conscious. They aim for a luxurious lifestyle. Moreover, it’s about celebrating Valentine’s Day in a special,” Vij added.
“I booked a BMW 7 series for my friend two days ago. He just got married and will celebrate his first Valentine’s Day with his wife. I have asked for bouquets, champagne and some decorative ribbons too,” said Abhinav Kohli, a freelance journalist and resident of Gurgaon’s Sector 56.
The preferred luxury car brands include Corolla, Camry, Mercedes Benz E and S class, Audi and Skoda. Companies not only provide cars but also customize interiors based on the client’s demand.
The price tag starts from Rs. 6,500 per day for 80kms for basic service — Mercedes C Class, Camry, BMW 3 series — to Rs. 12,500 for super luxury service — Mercedes S Class, BMW 7 or Audi 8.
