Despite a series of steps taken in the recent months by the city police, Gurgaon still remains unsafe for women.  Two molestation cases have been reported from different parts of the city on Friday.

In the first incident, a 48-year-old man was arrested for allegedly molesting his 17-year-old daughter.  A case was registered on Friday night at New Colony Police Station. The accused, a resident of New Colony and a native of Mathura (UP), was a priest at a temple.

According to the police, the accused has two daughters and a son. On Friday, the accused's elder daughter filed an FIR stating that his father had been molesting her and had even tried to rape her several times.

DCP Surinder Pal said, "We have arrested the accused. The accused was produced before a city court which sent him to 14 days' judicial custody."

In the second case, a 19-year-old girl was allegedly molested by her neighbour on Friday.

The case was registered at Pataudi Police Post following which the police are conducting raids to arrest the accused.

The accused, identified as Sonu (22), is a resident of village Budhera. According to the police, Sonu misbehaved with her while she was returning from her computer class. When she resisted, he threatened her and fled. Sonu will be arrested soon, the police said.
