Robbers’ gang busted, four arrested

The city police on Tuesday arrested four men wanted in more than 10 cases of snatching, dacoity and robbery. They were produced in a local court on Tuesday.


“The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) acted on a tip-off and arrested the men when they were planning another crime in New Palam Vihar,” said DCP (crime) Rajesh Duggal.

When the police team reached the spot, the gang members in a white Maruti Omni car tried to flee after opening firing on them.
The men were arrested by inspector Anand Kumar.

The police also recovered a knife and two iron rods.

During interrogation, the accused said they targeted auto passengers or persons known to be carrying cash.

FIR against Unitech’s top officials for ‘cheating’ buyers

An FIR was registered against nine officials of realty major Unitech Realty Pvt Ltd, including its directors Ramesh Chandra, Sanjay Chandra and Ajay Chandra, on Thursday evening for allegedly cheating investors. A Gurgaon court had passed an ex- parte order to this effect.
