Speeding vehicle runs over 40-yr-old

A 40-year-old man died after being hit by a speeding car while he was crossing the road on Tuesday, the police said.


The incident took place on the Faridabad Road at around 12.30pm near Qutab Plaza Market in DLF Phase-1.

According to witnesses, the car was moving at high speed and the victim flew across the divider and fell on his head.

The victim has been identified as Jabbar Singh, who hailed from Jodhpur, Rajasthan and worked as a caretaker in a house in DLF Phase-1, H-Block.

"The post-mortem report said that the victim died due to a severe head injury and loss of blood. The accused is still at large," Dharmender, head constable at DLF Phase-1 police station, said.

The police are yet to trace the vehicle and the driver involved in the accident.
