State police recover 22 stolen cars

The Haryana Police today claimed to have busted an auto-lifting gang with the arrest of one person and seizure of 22 stolen cars. On the basis of information received from the accused Shahid Khan, who was recently arrested from Tikhada village in Faridabad, the stolen cars were recovered from the district, they said.

During interrogation, he revealed that he and his two other associates Nadeem and Irfan, who are at large, used to stole cars from National Capital Region and sold them after changing their engine and chassis numbers.

Efforts are on to nab the duo while a case has been registered in this regard, police added.
