Two cases of sexual abuse reported in city

Two separate cases of sexual harassment were registered at different police stations of the city.

In the first incident, an LLB student lodged a complaint at the Sector 5 police station against her neighbour Nitin Jangra (30) on Thursday.

The complainant alleged that the accused sent her obscene texts on her mobile phone and threatened her if she turned down his proposal.

The accused was arrested from Sector 4 on Thursday. He was produced in a court, which later sent him to jail.

In the second case, a 32-year-old married woman lodged a complaint against her brother-in-law at the Sadar police station on Wednesday.

The victim resides with her daughter (8) at Malibu Towne, Sohna Road, and is a school teacher in Gurgaon.

The complainant alleged that her distant brother-in-law often made obscene calls to her.

The accused was identified as Raghubir, resident of Ghaziabad.

Meanwhile, the police are investigating both the cases.
