Amid serious concerns over MG Road turning into a law and order nightmare, the Gurgaon police will open a round-the-clock police post here.

The move will help victims register complaints swiftly instead of wasting time finding the area police station, especially in cases of chain snatching and molestation.

Work on the police post has begun. It will be computer-equipped facility with CCTV cameras and other electronic gadgets.

In most cases, victims have to run from pillar to post to get register a complaint, wasting hours.

"With this, visitors on MG Road would feel safe and secure. The police post will not only register complaints instantly but also act on them to redress grievances. A copy of the FIR, however, would be able at the concerned police station," said Maheshwar Dayal, DCP (east).

Fifteen police officials will be present here, including five specially-trained lady constables.
