Seeking early decision on the Dabra gangrape case, senior superintendent of police B Satheesh Balan on Wednesday appeared before the court of additional sessions judge Ritu Tagore on behalf of the Haryana Police.

The court has decided to frame charges against the 10 suspects in the case on January 14.

The 16-year-old Class-12 student was allegedly gangraped by eight persons - Sunil of Mangali village, Baljeet alias Situ, Anil, Mahendar, Vikash alias Daku, Raj Kumar alias Raju, Pawan and Kuldeep, all from Dabra village - and two others - Suresh of Sultanpur and Rajesh of Thua village - had allegedly given shelter to them.

It may be recalled that after the girl's father Krishan Kumar, a labourer, allegedly saw the MMS clip of his daughter being raped, he had committed suicide on September 18.

The Dalit organisations, during a candlelight march on Tuesday here, had demanded financial assistance of Rs. 15 lakh to the victim's family and a government job to one of the members of her family.
