Man shot at, looted in Faridabad

A private cash collection agent was shot dead in broad daylight and cash worth Rs. 17 lakh was looted from him on the busy NH-II (Mathura Road) in Faridabad on Friday afternoon.

The incident happened around 3.15 pm when the victim, identified as Bobby, de-boarded a bus near NHPC Chowk on Mathura Road.

The police said Bobby, a resident of Kosi in Uttar Pradesh, was working with a private cash collection agency in Faridabad and was carrying Rs. 17 lakh in his bag.

The police said two bikers appeared on the scene and started snatching his bag. As he resisted, one of the bikers fired indiscriminately on him and fled with the bag, police said adding, the traffic police immediately rushed him to a private hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
