As the process of extension of Metro Rail line to Faridabad has already been started, the authorities have now recommended extension of this line up to Ballabgarh township.

“The proposal to extend Metro line up to Ballabgarh has been sent to Haryana government three to four days
ago,” said Rakesh Gupta, deputy commissioner, Faridabad. Extension of Metro line from Badarpur to YMCA Chowk in Faridabad is already at an advanced stage with almost all agencies having given its approval. “Because of growing demand from the residents of Ballabgarh, I thought it is better to recommend to the state government extension of this Metro link up,” Gupta said.

Meanwhile, Haryana Urban Development Authority Faridabad, has already taken a decision to hand over land to DMRC for setting up of nine Metro stations between Badarpur and YMCA Chowk in Faridabad .

The 13.8-km-long Metro line to Faridabad will be elevated with nine stations including Sarai, NHPC Chowk, Mewala Maharajpur, Sector 27A, Badkal Mor, Old Faridabad, Ajronda, Faridabad New Town and YMCA Chowk.
