Continuing its relentless drive against land and parking mafia, the Huda on Thursday got an FIR lodged against a parking contractor for subletting parking space for vendors in the Sadar police station.
According to the complaint, the contractor had rented out the space in the
parking lot at Sector 38, near Medanta - The Medicity.
The police have arrested one person soon after the FIR was registered.
The contract is given for four months and, in this case, Sagarwas Labour Construction Society won the contract for the parking. Huda officials said the contract has not been terminated immediately.
The police, meanwhile, are trying to identify the owner of the company.
"We have arrested an employee of the company from the site," said the SHO, Sadar police station.
Huda administrator Praveen Kumar had sought a report on the parking lot when he visited the site a day before.
Liquor outlet razed
The Huda on Thursday demolished a liquor outlet which has been operating "illegally" at Sector 39.
The ahata - Machaan - was functioning from the green belt of the Huda.
