Holding the previous BJP government for bringing the developmental activities to a standstill, leaders of the ruling Congress on Tuesday pledged to launch a massive campaign against the false propaganda of BJP leaders.

The leaders also resolved to mobilise the electorates in view of the forthcoming parliamentary elections to obtain maximum lead in each booth of the constituency.

These resolutions were unanimously passed in a meeting of the Solan block Congress, held under the chairmanship of its president Ramesh Thakur. The meeting was also attended by in-charge of the constituency Madan Chaudhary.

General secretary Sardar Singh Thakur said it was resolved that the constituency would be divided into eight zones and participation of grassroots workers of each panchayat would be ensured. The in-charge of the booths along with team members and common workers would launch a massive campaign concerning the achievements of the United Progressive Alliance government to educate the masses at the village level.

Thakur said besides chalking out strategies, the meeting also discussed major decisions of the union and state government that had benefitted large sections of society. The leaders also decided to mobilise the unemployed youth to come forward for securing the benefits, including monthly honorarium under 'Unemployed allowance schemes' in rural as well as urban areas.
