Asserting that swine flu cases are declining in the country, Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today said the H1N1 vaccine being prepared in the country will be ready by March or April this year. "Vaccine for Influenza is being made for the first time in the
country and we took the decision of manufacturing
it about three months back," Azad told reporters in Jammu.

"It is in the trial stage. After animal trials, tests are being made on humans," he said and adding the vaccine was
earlier being imported.

On incidences of swine flu, the minister said there was no more any problem on this count as it was declining.

On his ministry's help to projects in JK, Azad said that there are many projects in pipeline in all the three
regions of the state being funded by the Centre.

These pertain to upgradation of health institutes, District and Primary health centres and other sub-centres, he
said and added the state government should send more proposals for far-off places so that Centre provides funds for them.

"The performance of the coalition government in J&K is satisfactory," Azad said in reply to another question.
