‘Food security bill top agenda’

Finance minister P Chidambaram and union minister for health Ghulam Nabi Azad hailed the food security bill and said it was on top of their agenda for the monsoon session of parliament here on Tuesday.

Chidambaram said nothing was more important than rolling out of the food security bill, which would ensure food to several poor and also help fight malnutrition.

In the city to attend the ‘group of minister on media’ programme, the ministers also blamed the opposition for not giving a clear response on the food security bill.
