Kannada writer Narasimaiah passes away

Well-known Kannada detective story writer N Narasimaiah, who had authored over 500 novels, died here today after a brief illness.   Eighty-six-year-old Narasimaiah had been admitted to a private hospital a fortnight ago for respiratory problems and his end came this morning,
hospital sources said.

He is survived by wife, three sons and two daughters.

Born in Chitradurga in 1925, Narasimaiah had penned more than 500 novels.

Narasimaiah had won several awards including, "Kannada Sahithya Prasasthi", "Rajyotsava Prashasti" and "Attimabbee Prasasthi".
