Chief minister Mamata Banerjee was discharged from Belle Vue Clinic on Saturday evening. Doctors led by general medicine expert Subrata Moitra attending to the chief minister advised her for complete rest for at least 15 days.
She was taken to the hospital on Wednesday.
“We have advised her to rest for 15 days. Doctors have requested her to stay back for at least couple of days. But she is eager to go home. Her condition has improved and her pulse rate is around 60 per minute. Her blood pressure is 110/80, which is close to normal level 120/80. She still complains of pain in knee and waist,” Moitra said. “Her complications may relapse if she does not take rest. Physiotherapist and orthopaedic expert are taking care,” he added.
Several radiological investigations mainly CT scan and MRI have been performed on her. Preliminarily the investigations reports revealed that she might have some problems of oedema with accumulation of fluid in the knee.
