The truckers' body of West Bengal on Saturday said it has extended the relaxation deadline for the movement of perishable goods, agri products and fish till January 12.

The Federation of West Bengal Truck Operators' Associations (WBTOA) after a meeting on Saturday said the movement of perishable goods would be allowed beyond January 10, the original deadline, for two more days.

"We will review the situation on January 12 and decide whether to continue or end the strike," Federation General Secretary Satyajit Majumdar said.

WBTOA has thrown its weight before the strike called by the All India Motor Transport Congress since January five midnight
