Akhilesh to donate a month’s salary to flood victims

Chief minister Akhilesh Yadav on Monday decided to donate a month’s salary to help the victims of large-scale disaster caused by the deluge in Uttarakhand.

Chief minister also urged the Samajwadi Party MPs, legislators and the ministers in his government to make necessary financial contribution to provide relief to those affected by the deluge in Uttarakhand.

In a press statement here chief minister said there has been a large-scale loss to life and property in the Uttarakhand region. A large-scale damage has also been caused to the infrastructure facilities in the hill state, he said.

Under such circumstances all possible financial assistance be given to the Uttarakhand government, he said. All the ministers, MPs and legislators should therefore provide maximum financial assistance to chief minister’s calamity relief fund, he said.
