"The arrested security guard, Bulle Pal… and the six others arrested today had incited a mob, which was angry due to the murder of Balipur village head Nanhe Yadav, to attack Zia-Ul Haque at around Yadav's residence," said a CBI source.

The source said, "If any clue emerges during the interrogation of Bulle Pal and the other accused that may link Raghuraj Pratap Singh to the crime then we will question him. We are ascertaining whether Bulle Pal was acting on his own or at the behest of somebody else's," said the source.

The CBI is probing the murder of three persons on March 2 - deputy superintendent of police Zia, Nanhe Yadav and his brother Suresh Yadav.

Along with Pal, the CBI arrested four of Yadav's associates and two of his neighbours  The agency had earlier nabbed Yadav's son, two of his brothers and one of his domestic helps.
