Chargesheet for Durga being finalised?

Amid growing efforts to find a way out to revoke her suspension, the UP government is giving final touches to the chargesheet to be served on the suspended IAS officer Durga Shakti Nagpal.

According to sources Divisional Commissioner Meerut, Manjit Singh has forwarded draft chargesheet to the state government. Appointment department is examining the document and it will be served on the officer once it was finalised and approved.

Sources said the state government had asked the Divisional Commissioner to send the chargesheet against Nagpal, who was placed under suspension as Sub Divisional Magistrate for demolishing wall of a religious place there. When contacted Divisional Commissioner feigned ignorance about the chargesheet and said he look into the issue only after Ramzan and the Kanwaria movements were over.
