Police said the victim had hanged himself from the ceiling fan of his room in his Vikas Nagar residence.

“The victim’s family members spotted his body hanging when they went to wake him up in the morning,” said Vikas Nagar station officer (SO) Ashok Yadav.

Confirming about the suicide note, the SO said the victim seemed to have lost all hope of making his father lead a normal life.

His father Awadesh Sharma is junior engineer in Bridge Corporation and presently posted in Deoria. The victim, however, had been staying here along with his mother and other family members in Sector C, Vikas Nagar.

Family members confirmed that the victim used to remain troubled with his father’s habit of drinking.
