The special investigation bureau (SIB) of the state police co-operative cell pasted attachment notices on the residences of former Bahujan Samaj Party ministers Ranganath Mishra and Chandradeo Ram Yadav in Bhadohi and Azamgarh districts, respectively, on Saturday in connection with the multi-crore scam in Labour and Construction Co-operative Federation (LACCFED).

The district and sessions court, Lucknow, had declared both the ministers absconding on November 21.

In the notices served on the ministers, the court has directed them to appear before the court by December 21. If they fail to do so, their properties will be attached.

In Bhadohi, the family members of former minister Ranganath Mishra refused to receive the notice and also misbehaved with the SIB team. The team members informed the local police about the incident.

When sub-inspector Azad Ahmad and Bhrigunath Yadav reached the spot, the SIB team pasted the court notice on the main gate of the residence. Thereafter, the notice was also pasted at the main gate of the community health centre of Aurai in Bhadohi district.

In Azamgarh, the SIB team pasted the notice at the residence of former minister Chandradeo Ram Yadav and the main billboard at Hydel crossing.

The SIB has already arrested former labour minister Badshah Singh in connection with the multi-crore scam.

Singh, who was a minister in the Maywati government, had later joined the BJP and also contested the last assembly election on its ticket.
