In a daylight incident, three armed miscreants barged into the Indira Nagar residence of a businessman on Tuesday with the intention of loot and threatened his family members. Ghazipur police station officer (SO) NS Siroi said preliminary investigation suggested that a person familiar to the businessman tipped off the robbers. The mastermind was also present outside the house but he escaped after sensing trouble. The officer, however, did not reveal the identity of the mastermind, stating that it would hinder probe.

According to reports, the robbers stormed into the Sector C, Indira Nagar residence of Amit Jain around 2 pm when he was not present in the house. His wife Manisha Jain and two kids were in the house at the time of the incident. Amit was at his furniture showroom near Lekhraj building on Faizabad road.

His wife and kids were shocked after seeing three outsiders inside the house. The robbers tried to threaten them but the neighbours immediately turned up to rescue the family after hearing their screams.

Fortunately, the police patrol team was also near the crime scene and reached immediately after being informed by the neighbours. The three robbers were arrested on the spot.
