Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) president Rajnath Singh and a number of other political leaders today called on Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh pay their condolences on the passing away of his wife last week at Raghogarh, an erstwhile princely state that was ruled by Digvijay's family.
The BJP president came in a special plane from New Delhi and flew to Guna in a helicopter, accompanied by Madhya Pradesh BJP unit president Narendra Singh Tomar and state urban development minister Babulal Gaur.
Apart from them, union minister Harish Rawat and state Congress unit president Kantilal Bhuria also called on Singh.
Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav and BJP leader and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Kalyan Singh are expected here later this evening.
Digvijay Singh's wife Asha Singh, 58, had passed away on February 27 at a hospital in New Delhi after battling cancer for several years.
