A youth Congress leader was allegedly killed by four Naxalites in the market area in Nagpur early on Sunday morning, police said.
According to police, after firing at Bahadur Shah Alam (25), who was also the chief of local panchayat samiti, in the main market square, the Naxals
fled from the spot.
The victim was rushed to a hospital, where he was declared brought dead, they said.
They added that an investigation is underway to identify the assailants and ascertain the motive behind the killing.
