A week after the German Bakery blast, the toll on Sunday rose to 15 after two students — Rajiv Agarwala (23) of Kolkata and Vikas Tulsiyani (23) of Pune — succumbed to injuries.

Both Agarwala, a final-year student of Symbiosis Law College, and Tulsiyani, a final-year student of D.Y. Patil Engineering College, were being treated at Jehangir Hospital.

“My son had told me to come to Pune and see how well he was doing. I can see it today but he is not there,” said Nandkumar, Agarwala’s father, breaking down outside the Vainkuth crematorium where the last rites were performed.

Tulsiyani, who lived minutes away from the Bakery, is the first local resident to have died in the blast.

He had gone there to meet a friend. His condition was reported to be stable till Saturday, but deteriorated suddenly.
