Around 11:30pm, a team of SSB officials, on the basis of a tip-off, raided a bungalow at Bazar Road and found that it was bifurcated into several portions and was being used as an apartment, a brothel and a gambling den.

Firoz Patel, assistant commissioner of police (SSB), said: “We have rescued seven women and arrested three persons for immoral trafficking, which also includes the owner of the bungalow. The accused have been booked under relevant sections of the Prevention of Illegal Trafficking Act (PITA). The owner has also been arrested under relevant sections of the Gambling Act. The officials recovered Rs33,740 and arrested a jockey and six players from the gambling den.”

Around 1:15am, the team conducted another raid at Temptation Hotel at Hill Road. The hotel management has been booked under the provisions of the Bombay Police Act as they did not have the requisite license for performance (music).

The SSB has registered cases against the accused with the Bandra police and have handed over those arrested persons to them.
