A 35-year-old man stabbed his wife and a colleague to death at Saki Naka on Monday, while another colleague, whom he suspected to be his wife’s lover, sustained injuries on his hand.

The accused, Sham Inchal, then went to the police, narrated the incident and handed over the murder weapon.

On Monday, after Inchal, a private club employee, returned to his home in Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) society, Sangharsh Nagar in Saki Naka, he noticed a missed call on his wife’s phone.

He called the number, which was answered by his colleague Nitesh Gange, 27. When Gange denied any relationship with his wife, Inchal asked him to come over to sort out the issue.

When Gange arrived with a colleague, Rajesh Rane, 40, Inchal sent his five children out and there was a confrontation.

“He picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed Seema and Rane,” said Cherring Dorjee, zonal deputy commissioner of police.
