With glaring loopholes surfacing in the sexual assault complaint filed by the parents of a six-year-old boy against a school bus attendant and two unidentified men, the police say they hope to get some clarity from the medical reports.

Dhananjay Kulkarni, DCP, zone 5, said the boy, who studies in a Kurla-based international school, had named two abusers who turned out to be his classmates.

The police have already arrested the 18-year-old school bus attendant after the boy’s parents registered a complaint with the police. The parents told the police that a private doctor had confirmed the sexual assault.

The victim’s mother alleged that on March 18, her son was picked up from his crèche by the school bus. The attendant allegedly handed him over to two men, who took him in an autorickshaw to And-heri and sexually abused him.

The school dismissed the allegations. “The child was attending school regularly. In fact, one of the boys named was absent from school for the past month,” said the principal.
