More than 50 residents of Dadar Parsi Colony staged a peaceful protest on Sunday against the alarming number of mobile phone towers installed atop buildings in their area.

“Over the past three years, there have been several cases of cancer and other health problems reported by residents in the area, which we fear could have been caused by exposure to radiation,” said Nitin Gandhi, a resident.

The residents of the buildings first met to discuss and understand the issue and implications of the mobile phone tower policy. “We marched to the house of the building landlord who had installed towers on the terrace,” he added.
