Devendra Fadnavis may be new Maharashtra BJP chief

Nagpur legislator Devendra Fadnavis is fast emerging as frontrunner for the post of state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Sources said Fadnavis could be announced as BJP’s next state unit chief on Thursday.

With Gopinath Munde strongly opposed to a second term for the incumbent state chief Sudhir Mungantiwar, party national head Rajnath Singh reportedly gave the green light to the appointment of Fadnavis.
