Amid the reports of Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray's deteriorating health, the film industry decided to call off most of its shoots.
Ram Gopal Varma, who was shooting his film on 26/11, and filmmaker Karan Johar in cancelled their shootings. A number of television serials and reality shows shootings were also put on hold.
Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar also postponed her function.
"I am extremely disturbed at the critical health of Shri Balasaaheb. I am postponing the function of my music company. My prayers are with him and the Thackeray family," she said.
Amitabh Bachchan along with son Abhishek and later Salman Khan were spotted at Thackeray residence on Wednesday late night, negotiating thousands of his supporters.
