A team of Interpol officials sought the sessions court’s permission to interrogate the accused.

The additional commissioner of police, (South Zone), had forwarded an application on Tuesday stating that Interpol be granted permission to interrogate the accused. The sessions court, however, rejected the application on the grounds that it did not specify the date and time during which Interpol wanted to interrogate the accused.

The court further observed that it would consider the plea if they want to interrogate the accused at a later date.

The court also told the police that officials are free to meet an officer from another agency and the court does not need to give permission or interfere in the internal exchange of information.
