A man was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly duping about seven Air-India employees by promising them a cure for their problems. Anandraj Pillai (39), was arrested based on a complaint by an Air-India employee Bikaji More (48). He had gastro problems and was referred to Pillai by one of
his colleagues, Vasant Nevadekar (40).   Pillai took Rs. 11,000 and also asked the victim to give him all his gold as it was bringing him bad luck. He said he would to return the jewellery after a puja.

More handed 21 tolas of gold to him. Later when he asked for the jewellery, Pillai told More that he would turn into a dog if he kept asking for the valuables. “The victim lodged a complaint,” said inspector Ashok Pawar. Nevadekar was also arrested for being hand in glove with Pillai.
