In a bid to make completion of paperwork easy for locals and policemen, the Navi Mumbai police commissioner Ahmad Javed inaugurated the Citizen Facilitation Centre (CFC) and Personnel Facilitation Centre (PFC) at the police commissionerate at CBD Belapur in Navi Mumbai on Tuesday.

Javed said, “As the names suggest, the centres will process permissions, licences and applications of the citizens and police personnel. It will be done within a specified time frame. The objective is to provide a speedy and transparent service.”

The two centres, manned by dapper personnel, will provide one-window non-emergency services to residents and police personnel in a time-bound fashion.

While the CFC will cater to applications for passport, arms licences, character verification, public place entertainment licence among others, the PFC will enable police personnel to claim their medical re-imbursements, pending allowances and service issues.

At the counter, the applications will be collected and passed on to the concerned departments. The applicants will get their processed documents or answers to their applications at the same window on the specified day.

“Detailed information about the list of documents and fees required for each permission has been put up at the centres. The applicants can enquire about the status of their file by calling on 27572236.”

The applicants will also be updated through SMS. “For service-related issues, our personnel can approach the PFC,” he added.
