President hosts reception for Team India

President Pratibha Patil, who witnessed the thrilling cricket World Cup final, on Sunday hosted a "high tea" function in Mumbai in honour of victorious Team India.

Captain M S Dhoni and his boys reached Raj Bhavan for their first official welcome ceremony to celebrate the team's victory in the World Cup final after 28 years.

Maharashtra Governor K Sankaranarayanan, Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan and senior state ministers are attending the event.

President Patil watched the World Cup final held at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday with her Sri Lankan counterpart M Rajapaksa. India defeated Sri Lanka by 6 wickets in the final.
